Our vision is to ensure that we are able to serve our communities with diagnosis that is not only fast and accurate but private as well and also with price low enough for everyone to be able to afford. SsahiPath intends to ensure that we not only meet but exceed the expectation of our own and become the preferred diagnostics center in sub-Saharan Africa.
We are building SsahiPath to become the largest, leading and standard medical diagnostic laboratory in sub-Saharan Africa. Even though we will be offering major diagnostic services such as clinical pathology, hematology, ultrasound, Flow Cytometry, Electron Microscopy, CT scan, x-ray services, microbiology, and biochemistry; we will also be offering additional services such as consultancy and advisory services as well as medical support services in order to boost the bottom line of our project.
LOVE - COMPASSION - HONESTY - COMMITMENT
SsahiPath is managed by African physicians, scholars, and engineers, highly educated in Europe and North America. We help our own be at their best by, not only, providing the best possible medical laboratory and diagnostic imaging services to our communities but, also, educating them about what causes and early signs of cancer and other malignant diseases to include diabetes, hypertension, heart diseases, stroke etc. We provide information about healthy behaviors and lifestyles to reduce these risk factors and even prevent some cancers.
We value making it easier for people to get the tests and the care that they need, encouraging countries to aim at integrated tiered referral networks, promoting quality system improvement and accreditation, developing laboratory policies and strategic plans, enhancing training and laboratory workforce development and a retention strategy, creating career paths for local laboratory professionals, establishing public–private partnerships.
Pathology today is laboratory focused, with the attendant benefits of consistency and reliability. We bring next-generation pathology services that ensure progress in obtaining faster, better, personalized, and more-integrated results for patients.
Our model is to stay ahead of traditional anatomic pathology services by providing services with comprehensive report that would integrate imaging, biochemical, histologic, molecular genetics, cytogenetic, genomic, and epigenetic analyses into a cohesive, clinically relevant, and valuable diagnostic, predictive, and prognostic document.
We believe that such vision emphasizes the need for subspecialists to span the breadth of current laboratory technologies and to centralize them under the aegis of a particular organ system or group of diseases.
Learn MoreAccess to excellent medical laboratory and diagnostic imaging services shouldn't depend on where you live.
Cancer has become a major clinical and public health issue in sub-Saharan Africa. However, clinical and public health infrastructure and services in many countries are not positioned to deal with the growing cancer burden. We understand that pathology and diagnostic imaging services are core service required to serve many needs related to cancer in sub-Saharan Africa. Cancer diagnosis, treatment, and research all depend on adequate pathology. Pathology is also necessary for cancer registration, which is needed to accurately estimate cancer incidence and mortality. Cancer registry data directly guide policy-makers' decisions for cancer control and the allocation of clinical and public health services.
Despite the centrality of pathology in many components of cancer care and control, countries in sub-Saharan Africa have at best a tenth of the pathology coverage of that in high-income countries. Equipment, processes, and services are lacking, and there is a need for quality assurance for the definition and implementation of high-quality, accurate diagnosis. Training and advocacy for pathology are also needed. We propose approaches to improve the status of pathology and diagnostic imaging in sub-Sharan Africa, to address the needs of patients with cancer and other malignant diseases.
